Davide Bacco is co-founder and CTO of Quantum Telecommunication Italy (QTI) and Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Florence. He received his degree in Engineering Telecommunication in 2011 at the University of Padova, Italy. In 2015 he accomplished a PhD degree in Science Technology and Spatial Measures (CISAS) at the University of Padova. From 2015 to 2022 he has been a researcher at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He has obtained national and international funding and is the author and co-author of over 75 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. His know-how regards quantum communication in fibre, free-space and underwater environments, quantum cryptography and silicon photonics for quantum communications.
